Product Management Intern
WORK LOCATION: This internship is on-site at our Logan, Utah office. Remote work is not available—candidates must be able to work in person at our location.
START DATE and DURATION: We’re looking for candidates who can start immediately and continue working through the academic year and summer. Preference will be given to applicants who are available to stay with us for at least one year or longer, ideally through graduation.

- Assist with managing the product line life cycle, plan strategically about the product positioning, roadmap, and future market expansion as well as execute tactical activities related to product development and sales, such as product accessories, packaging, branding, etc.
- In collaboration with internal and external resources, generate compelling market requirements documents (MRD) for new product development. An MRD describes the key jobs a product will help get done and identifies critical customer needs for those jobs, which is the basis for product decisions throughout development, and is the business justification for proceeding.
- Perform market and competitive analysis, identify our competitive advantage and key differentiators, and then work with marketing to successfully position and message the product to the market.
- Assist the Product Manager with setting product pricing and discount in conformance with the approved business model, product profitability and in concert with the sales and distribution channels.
- Work with the project manager and project engineer to validate and revise the MRD, and provide input and approval of the product technical specification (PTS). Participate in product design reviews and project phase sign-offs, giving approval to proceed when appropriate. Responsible for generating the Product Validation Test (PVT) that evaluates how well the product satisfies critical customer needs identified in the MRD.
- Works with the Sales & Marketing team to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all areas of the company to execute that plan and help them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
